Letter to Parents

I have taught preschool (both regular and special ed.) in the public schools for several years, as well as participating in a preschool co-op in the past. Now I run an in-home preschool for children the year before entering kindergarten. I have degrees and teaching certificates in early childhood education, special education and regular education (PK through grade 8).  I love teaching and working with children!

This preschool is a Kindergarten Prep and is just as much about academics, as it is about socialization and self help skills. I like the Montessori teaching ideals, and also pull from several different teaching styles and techniques, specifically Creative Curriculum and HighScope. Our activities and lessons will be age appropriate and child directed.

Teaching children is a passion of mine. I love to see them try something, learn something, do something for the first time. That moment when their eyes light up and they feel proud of what they have accomplished? I love that! I live for that! Plus, I take tons of pictures each day, so you can see what your preschooler is doing all day! I update this blog weekly with the pictures.
